# 3. Honigstädtische Fußballliga

Die **3. Honigstädtische Fußballliga** ist die **niedrigste Spielklasse** im [Fußball in der Honigstadt](/aktuelles/honigstaedtischer-fussball.md). In diesem Wettbewerb wird mittels eines Ligasystems[^1] der Aufstieg in die [zweite Liga](/aktuelles/honigstaedtischer-fussball/zweite-liga.md) ausgespielt: Der Erstplatzierte steigt direkt auf, der Zweitplatzierte spielt eine Relegation um den Aufstieg/Ligaverbleib.

Die Liga besteht – im Gegensatz zu den anderen beiden – nur aus vier Mannschaften. Ein Abstieg aus der dritten Liga ist nicht möglich.

[^1]: Ein **Ligasystem** ist ein Wettbewerbssystem, bei dem Mannschaften in einer hierarchischen Struktur von Ligen gegeneinander antreten. Die Leistung in einer Saison entscheidet über Auf- und Abstieg in höhere oder niedrigere Ligen. Innerhalb der Liga spielt – in der Honigstadt – jede Mannschaft gegen jede andere genau **einmal**.
